Kevin Conner, CPA
Kevin is the Managing Director of ACABO of Jacksonville, Florida. Prior to starting the Jacksonville office in 2008, he served as the Practice Director – Executive Search for CFO Services in Jacksonville. In that position for six years, Kevin worked with clients in many of the leading industries in North Florida including transportation, logistics, healthcare, real-estate, retail, distribution, agriculture, and financial services.
An Alumnus of Ernst & Young, Kevin worked in the Jacksonville office as a Senior Auditor. He holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting and is a licensed CPA in Florida. He is a life-long resident of the state of Florida having grown up in the panhandle before entering college at the University of Florida. He initially became interested in the recruiting industry when he assisted with E&Y’s recruiting efforts at various Florida based colleges and universities.
Kevin has served within many civic organizations and accounting related clubs including Young Republicans, Beta Alpha Psi, and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He is an avid golfer, a close follower of college football, and an active member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. Kevin is married to the former Lori Smith whom he met at Ernst & Young and is the father of two children, Maxwell and Reagan.
Abby Castellanos, CPA
Abby is the Managing Director of ACABO. Before starting the firm in late 2002 she served as Senior Consultant in Accounting and Finance for TMP Worldwide eResourcing (a subsidiary of MONSTER.com) in Tampa. In that position for six years, she worked with clients in many of the leading homebuilding, real estate, healthcare, retail, distribution, service and technology companies throughout Tampa Bay and Florida.
Before she entered the recruiting arena, Abby began her career with PricewaterhouseCoopers' predecessor firm, Coopers & Lybrand where she was an auditor. She holds a Master's in Accountancy from Auburn University and has an active CPA certificate in the state of Florida.
She is deeply involved with the community. Abby belongs to the FICPA, AICPA, Institute for Internal Auditors, Florida Venture Forum, and Association for Corporate Growth. A member of the Junior League of Tampa, and completed "The Tampa Connection" class of 2004 and was an Adjunct Professor at St. Petersburg College 1998-2003.
Abby is also an experienced speaker, having presented at the Florida State University's Accounting Conference in 2001 and has served on the Florida State University Accounting Conference and Healthcare Accounting Conference Committees.
Currently serving as a Board Member with the West Coast Chapter of the FICPA.
